Say it Loud, Say it Proud: I am a Cat Lady

The other morning I was eating my cereal and Chandler came up to me and smushed his head against my leg (his way of saying “Move somewhere more comfortable, I want to cuddle”), and my first instinct was to jump to my usual rather morbid reaction of, “Oh, what would I ever do without you?” because, well, when a cat headbutts you when you’re exhausted and your boyfriend is still sleeping and you’re dreading all 15 exams and 35 projects you have to do, your heart tends to swell with happiness. Never been headbutted by a cat? You should be.

Anyway, the point is that this time, for the first time, I stopped myself and forced myself to think instead how thankful I am that I have such awesome pets. Now. The future is, for the moment, irrelevant. For someone like me, this is a huge breakthrough.

So to celebrate the fact that I’m learning to appreciate life for what it is now, here are a million pictures of cats.
