Quebec City

What do you get when you combine five women and a beautiful old city?

Is this thing on?

A cracking good time, that’s what.

The posse.

Crepes, boules of cafe au lait, sumptuous burgers on brioche, pastries, drinks crafted by swooningly handsome Quebecois bartenders…

From the wall

It was even more freezing than we had expected it to be, so we put our exploring shoes on and kept the pace up.

Turquoise, turquoise, turquoise!

Two of the women on the trip are architectural historians, so we basically had two free tour guides with us.

Maple taffy!

There was definitely no shortage of food and drink to fuel our explorations. We even found a little bistro tucked away near the water that had amazing food and welcomed us with open arms even though we took up half the restaurant.

Colorful lamps

I had not expected Quebec City to feel so European, especially since it is so close to where I live. At the same time, it has its own flair – the amount of color everywhere was delightful.

I can’t get enough of those narrow streets

On our way out of town, we went to check out the cascades, which of course had me bouncing in my seat, because BRIDGES:

Don’t get too close to the edge!

I may have been exhausted by the end of the trip, but it was well worth it, and I hope we make it a yearly tradition. Thanks for a great time, ladies!
